Juvenile Allegedly Behind on Child Support

One rap star is having serious legal trouble in Louisiana. A police report was released last week stating that Juvenile has a warrant out for his arrest due to failure to appear in court. Juvenile, also known as Terius Gray, has been found to be negligent in making his child support payments for the past six years. He reportedly owes the mother of his son, Dionne Williams, over $160,000. The last time that he made a payment to her was in December 2006. As a result of his gross negligence, a judge told his attorney that he would have to spend 90 days in jail.

However, he did offer a bargain: pay $50,000 upfront and the rapper could work out a deal for the remaining amount. Instead of accepting the deal, Juvenile simply did not show up for court last week. Are you having trouble making child support payments? Don't wait until your situation becomes bad enough to warrant jail time. Instead, work with a family law attorney in your area that can advise you of your options, such as modification.
